Capture by Metroplex360 is the app Metroplex360's technicians and the companies they work for use to shoot 360° panoramas and deliver them. It is run by Metroplex 360 RCS, LLC, 5729 Lebanon Rd Ste 144-291, Frisco, Texas 75034, United States. Accounts are set up by a company's office; there is no public sign-up.
What the app collects
- Name and email address: the person's account, set up by their company's office. The email is the sign-in.
- Panoramas: the photos taken with the technician's 360 camera, and the camera settings each was taken with.
- Job details: each job's title and notes, from the company's office or its CRM.
- Precise location: the phone's location with each shot and each sign-in, only when the technician allows it. The app asks while it is open, never reads location in the background, and works the same if they say no.
- Sign-in records: when someone signs in or a sign-in is refused, with the address it came from and the phone or browser model, so the company can see who used its account.
- A device log for each job: what the app did with the camera and the uploads on that phone (camera commands, settings, transfers, errors), so a problem can be traced. It holds no passwords and no sign-in tokens.
- An app install number and a notification token: a random number the app makes when it's installed, and the token Apple or Google gives the app, so the office can tell the right phone that a job changed.
- Wi-Fi and local network access: to reach the 360 camera's own Wi-Fi for shooting and file transfer.
- Crash and error reports: when the app or the service fails, what failed (the error, the app version, the phone's model and system, the camera, and the job it happened on), so we can fix it. No name, email address, photo or IP address goes with it.
What it does not collect
- The phone's own camera or photo library: the photos come from the 360 camera.
- Advertising identifiers, and no tracking across other apps or websites.
- Analytics.
How it's used
Only to run the service for the company: shooting, checking and delivering its jobs, showing who did what, and fixing problems. Nothing is sold, and nothing is used for advertising.
Where it goes
- Panoramas upload to the app's own storage, then to the company's connected storage (Dropbox or Google Drive), which the company chooses.
- Services that run parts of the app for us: Railway (hosting and storage), Resend (password reset emails), Sentry (crash and error reports), and Apple and Google (notifications to the app).
- A job's share page, when the company turns one on: anyone with the link can see and download that job's panoramas, so share it only with the people who should see them. The company can turn the link off at any time. We count how many times a page was opened; we do not record who opened it, their address or their browser.
How long it's kept
- Jobs, panoramas and their records: as long as the company keeps the job.
- The app's copy of a delivered file: when the company has turned it on, it's removed 14 days after the file is confirmed in the company's storage. A company using the app's own storage keeps its files until it deletes them.
- The activity log: 12 months in the app, then in a monthly archive the company can download.
- On the phone: a shot's files are removed once they're delivered.
- Crash and error reports: up to 90 days at Sentry.
Your choices
You can turn off location for the app in your phone's settings at any time. To see, correct or delete what the app holds about you, ask your company's office, which manages your account, or email us below.
